1. Word document or Google Docs
If you decide to go with a normal word document or Google Doc that's totally fine. Please consider the following points and use them whenever possible so it's easier for us to go through your requirements fast and efficiently:
- State your project's objective or end result.
- If your project is small, a simple list of the tasks is enough. If your project is more complex, it's important that you create a more organized overview of the project, along with the main objectives, categories of each of your requests, and finally, a list of tasks within each category.
- Always provide examples of what you want if possible. Screenshots, links to other sites, sketches, designs, mockups, videos, or any visual aids that will help us understand the end result you're looking for. Saw something you love on another site? Share the URL with us directly.
- Tip: Never assume that things are obvious. What is obvious to you is not necessarily obvious to others. When you send a request consider that we have probably not heard about your brand, we don't know your internal business process, we don't know your products, etc. So try to explain everything starting from the notion that we donβt know anything about your challenges or goals.
- When applicable and possible a "before" and "after" view of what you want, can be very helpful.
- Here are two perfect examples of requests that include extensive details and examples. Try to create your request based on these examples.
